Convenient Charging
The SUPERB iV’s battery can be charged from the mains after connecting a charging cable. A flat battery can be recharged in approximately 5-7 hours with a standard 230V household plug socket. Another possibility is to recharge or maintain the level of charge in the battery while driving, using the petrol engine and brake energy recovery.
Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain
The ŠKODA SUPERB iV’s bonnet conceals an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain combining the best of electric and conventional cars for an eco-friendly yet dynamic drive. The drive system combining a petrol engine and electric motor delivers maximum system power of 160kW and torque of up to 400Nm. All of this with CO2 emissions of less than 40g/km.
Prepared for anything
To commute to work in the city in silence and comfort, use the electric drive with a WLTP-verified range of up to 62km, which releases no emissions into the streets. For longer business trips, out-of-town excursions or holidays, you'll appreciate the petrol engine and 50 litre tank with a range up to 930km.
Brake Energy Regeneration
The SUPERB iV is fitted with brake engine regeneration that slows down the car when the brake pedal is depressed, and the accelerator is released, and stores the energy that has been recovered back in the vehicle battery. The regenerative braking intensity can be set at multiple levels.Fuel Economy

Safety Features
The Superb can go up to 40 km/h when looking for a suitable parking space with Park Assist on. Once the sensors find a space large enough (i.e. length of the car + 80 cm), the system lends a hand with the parking manoeuvres (optional add-on)
Exiting a tight space is now easier, too. In this mode, the Park Assist manoeuvres the SUPERB back and forth until it can exit a row of parked cars.
The system finds a proper parking space between cars and performs the parking manoeuvre almost automatically. The car’s electronics control the steering wheel while the driver uses the accelerator and brake pedal.
The Front Assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. Front Assist works with a radar sensor integrated into the radiator grille, constantly monitoring the distance from the traffic ahead.
Crew protect assist coordinates the activities of onboard systems to minimise emergency traffic situations. The ŠKODA Superb incorporates two levels of Crew Protect Assist, depending on the other features installed in the car.
Blind Spot Detect helps the driver to change lanes safely by registering any vehicles in the blind spot. Two radar sensors located in the lower part of the rear bumper monitor the area beside and up to 20 metres behind the ŠKODA Superb.
This system provides more safety and comfort in traffic jams and stop-and-go traffic. Traffic Jam Assist taps into the DSG transmission, the Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Assist systems by having them “merge” with it.
Emergency Assist intervenes if the driver becomes incapacitated. The system works in combination with the automatic DSG transmission, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Assist. (Optional add-on)
The feature can tell when a driver strays from a lane unintentionally. The system is active at speeds above 65km/h, on condition that there are recognisable lane markings on the road and the indicator has not been turned on prior to crossing a marking.
